Stored XSS via unescaped organization name
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Stored XSS in MISP before 2.5.47 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted organization name. The admin email view writes the MISP.org value directly into a double-quoted JavaScript string with no context-appropriate encoding, so quotes or backslashes can terminate the literal. Exploitation requires permission to modify the organization name and a second authenticated user to load the view, exposing that user's session and privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
