Reflected XSS via unvalidated AnalystData object type
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Reflected XSS in MISP before 2.5.47 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted AnalystData URL. AnalystDataController::viewForObject accepted an object type from the URL and passed it to the Overmind thread element, which inserted it into translated HTML without output encoding. Exploitation requires an authenticated victim to visit the supplied URL, after which the script runs in the victim's MISP context and can read page data or issue actions.
