Remote code execution via unrestricted file upload
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in JosephChuks PHP File Manager + Code Editor 3.0 allows remote attackers to write files into the web root. The unauthenticated filemanager.php upload handler accepts the client-supplied files name, permits every extension by default, and passes the resulting document-root path to move_uploaded_file. Any network client that can reach the script can place executable PHP content in a web-accessible location and run it with the web server's privileges.
