Authenticated command execution via unsanitized upgrade parameters
Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026
OS command injection in TOTOLINK CA750-PoE 6.2c.510 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary OS commands through crafted upgrade input. The recvUpgradeNewFw function in ap.so passes attacker-controlled fwUrl or magicid data from /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi into command execution without validating shell syntax. A valid management session is required; successful exploitation runs commands on the embedded device and can open a shell, alter device data, or interrupt service.
