CVE-2026-9530Public exploit

Local crash via unchecked decompression bounds

Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in GNU LibreDWG 0.14 and earlier allows local users to crash dwgbmp with a malformed DWG file. read_2004_compressed_section accepts compressed-section address and size values whose sum can wrap and then reads past the decompression buffer. Execution of dwgbmp on attacker-supplied input is required, and the demonstrated consequence is a process crash rather than data disclosure.
