CVE-2026-95208Hinoki check available

Connection denial via incorrect name-constraint rejection

Published Oct 8, 2026 · Updated Oct 8, 2026

Certificate validation in wolfSSL 5.9.1 and 5.9.2 allows attackers to deny TLS client connections via crafted CA certificates. ConfirmNameConstraints() in wolfcrypt/src/asn.c incorrectly rejects valid certificates without a Subject Alternative Name when processing the crafted CA certificates. Exposure requires the affected client verification path to process those certificates; further trust prerequisites and internal logic details are not available from the retrieved disclosure.
