CVE-2026-95105Hinoki check available

Ciphertext forgery via unauthenticated AES-CTR decryption

Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026

Ciphertext forgery in Daniel Berkompas Cloak 0.1.0-pre and later allows attackers to alter decrypted values by changing stored AES-CTR ciphertext. Cloak.Ciphers.AES.CTR decrypt/2 accepts a matching key tag and a sufficiently long IV, then decrypts the ciphertext without checking its integrity. Exploitation requires write access to stored ciphertext and knowledge or a reliable guess of the original plaintext; a same-length bit flip changes the value returned to the consuming application without an error.
