Reachable assertion in GNU Project LibreDWG 0.14 and earlier allows local users to crash dwgread by processing a malformed R2004 DWG file. In src/decode.c, decompress_R2004_section accepts compressed-section position and offset values without checking that pos remains at or above comp_offset, so the failed assertion aborts the process. Reaching the flaw requires local execution of dwgread against a crafted file; the demonstrated consequence is termination of that process, not a system reboot or data modification.
