CVE-2026-9490

Local service crash via weak named-pipe permissions

Published May 25, 2026 · Updated May 25, 2026

Denial of service in Acer Care Center 4.00.3058 and earlier allows local users to crash ACCSvc via a crafted named-pipe message. ACCSvc exposes a named pipe with a weak security descriptor and aborts with exit code 1067 when it processes message type 0x03. Any authenticated local user who can reach the pipe can interrupt the service, with no reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
