Service interruption via unbounded JavaME JSON values
Published Oct 2, 2026 · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Resource exhaustion in Apache Thrift JavaME bindings before 0.25.0 allows attackers to interrupt applications through oversized JSON values. The JavaME TJSONProtocol reader fails to apply the maximum string size while reading untrusted JSON strings and numbers, allowing excessive memory consumption. Exposure requires an application to pass attacker-controlled JSON protocol data to this binding; the record does not establish data access or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
