Service interruption via unbounded Dart JSON strings
Published Oct 2, 2026 · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Resource exhaustion in Apache Thrift Dart bindings before 0.25.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt services through oversized JSON strings. The Dart JSON protocol readers accumulate attacker-controlled string content without a size bound. Exposure requires an application that passes untrusted JSON-protocol messages to the Dart binding; the resulting resource consumption can interrupt that application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
