Remote service crash via uncaught PHP exceptions
Published Oct 2, 2026 · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Uncaught exceptions in Apache Thrift PHP bindings before 0.25.0 allow remote attackers to crash a TSimpleServer through RPC requests. The TSimpleServer serve loop catches transport exceptions but lets other exceptions from request processing escape the loop and terminate the PHP server process. Exposure requires an application to use this PHP server class and a request that triggers a non-transport exception; the resulting impact is interruption of that server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
