Stack-based buffer overflow in Edimax EW-7438RPn 1.31 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via submit-url. The formLicence handler copies an unchecked submit-url value into a local stack buffer, allowing oversized input to overwrite its return address. Administrative web-interface access is required; the demonstrated payload crashes the appliance and persistently interrupts network service.
