Data read and modification via apt-get argument injection
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Argument injection in Proxmox pmg-api 9.0.0 through 9.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to alter an apt-get changelog command. The package changelog API accepted a user-controlled package name without rejecting odd names or placing an end-of-options separator before it. A privileged session is required, but a CSRF-style request can supply the crafted value and expose or modify data through injected apt-get options.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
