Root command execution via WebTools transfer parameters
Published Oct 8, 2026 · Updated Oct 8, 2026
Command injection in Brocade Fabric OS before 9.2.2d or 10.0.0 through 10.0.0a1 lets remote authenticated users run root commands. The WebTools configuration-download and file-transfer handler allows malicious remote-server-profile parameter strings to trigger shell command execution on the switch. Exploitation requires permission to perform configuration downloads and access to the switch management interface; successful commands run with root privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <9.2.2d
