Decode-thread termination via malformed AUX_DATA messages
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Denial of service in SGLang 0.5.15 and earlier allows remote attackers to terminate the Decode control thread via an AUX_DATA message. MooncakeKVManager._handle_aux_data indexes six multipart fields and decodes integers without first validating the frame count or field types. Exploitation requires network access to the Decode ZeroMQ control PULL socket and interrupts inference on the target server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
