SVG markup injection via unescaped serialization
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Improper SVG escaping in Vercel Satori 0.0.27 through 0.33.4 lets remote attackers inject SVG markup through rendered input. Satori's SVG serialization writes some text and attribute values without XML escaping, so crafted values become markup rather than data. Exposure requires an application to render attacker-controlled values; in affected Next.js Node.js ImageResponse routes, downstream processing can permit remote code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
