Authenticated database manipulation via unparameterized project update
Published May 25, 2026 · Updated May 25, 2026
SQL injection in Code Projects Employee Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries through pid. The psubmit.php handler places the GET pid value directly inside an UPDATE statement and executes it with mysqli_query without parameterization. Employee-level access to the project-submission endpoint is sufficient to change project data or infer database behavior with time delays.
