Tenant configuration tampering via unchecked systemConfig update
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Missing authorization in jshERP 3.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter tenant-wide system configuration. The /systemConfig/update controller accepts a caller-supplied configuration object and passes it to SystemConfigService.updateSystemConfig without enforcing the privileges required for that tenant-wide operation. Any authenticated low-privilege account with endpoint access can rewrite or delete company identity, stock, approval, and printing settings, disrupting shared business behavior.
