Claimed command execution via command argument injection
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
The CVE record claims OS command injection in OctoPrint 1.0.0 lets remote authenticated users execute host commands through its Command API. It attributes the flaw to executeSystemCommand accepting a manipulated command argument, but the upstream 1.0.0 tag has no such function or system.py file. The claim therefore cannot be reached in the cited release; upstream code exposes only authenticated load and state API routes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Activity data is delayed. The latest report is Sep 28, 2026.
