Stored XSS via unrestricted layout wrapper element
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Metaphor Creations Ditty 3.1.69 and earlier allows contributor users to execute script in visitors' browsers. The ditty_layout_render_tag_wrapper function renders an attacker-controlled wrapper value as an HTML element without restricting it to a safe allowlist. Contributor-level access is required to store the crafted layout tag, and execution occurs when a visitor loads the affected Ditty output.
