CVE-2026-94448Hinoki check available

XSS via stale template-expression context

Published Oct 8, 2026 · Updated Oct 8, 2026

XSS in Go html/template before 1.26.9 and 1.27.0 through 1.27.1 allows attackers to inject JavaScript via template data. The tJSTmpl transition retains the preceding expression's JavaScript context when entering another expression, causing subsequent regular expression literals to receive incorrect escaping. Exposure requires a trusted template with consecutive JavaScript template-literal expressions and attacker-controlled data in the affected regular expression context; the consequence is script injection into rendered HTML, not server-side code execution.
