Secret disclosure via forged workload identity tokens
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Authorization bypass in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform allows authenticated administrators to disclose workload-bound credentials. The gateway lets an administrator mint a Controller service key that is indistinguishable from an installer-provisioned key, then uses it to sign arbitrary workload identity tokens. Exploitation requires the OIDC workload-identity feature and a relying service that trusts the gateway signing key; accepted tokens expose credentials assigned to the impersonated workload.
