Admin-level code execution via unrestricted blocklist extension
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Improper file validation in MISP before 2.5.47 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a crafted blocklist filename. The blocklist workflow module applies basename() but does not restrict the filename extension before writing the generated file into the export directory. Exploitation requires site-administrator access and a web server configured to execute the chosen script type from that directory, yielding code execution as the web server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
