Unauthenticated order-status changes via unverified IPN callbacks
Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026
Payment confirmation forgery in Niko Technologies elegro Crypto Payment 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter order status via IPN requests. The payment notification handler trusts incoming confirmations when the shared secret remains empty, rather than requiring a configured secret before accepting them. An installation with that default empty setting is exposed to forged confirmations for arbitrary orders; the public plugin listing does not independently document the flaw.
