Translator-level file read via unrestricted translation paths
Published Oct 3, 2026 · Updated Oct 3, 2026
File read in Loco Translate before 2.8.9 allows remote authenticated users with translator access to read certain server files. Its translation-file routes accept a supplied path without confining reads to the intended base directory, allowing supported file types to be retrieved from outside the web root. Access requires the plugin's translator capability, and disclosure remains limited by file-type handling and the web server's file permissions.
