Unauthenticated settings overwrite via unchecked admin_setting_setup_data
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Missing authorization in ThemetechMount TrueBooker before 1.3.0 allows remote attackers to overwrite plugin settings through a setup handler. The admin_setting_setup_data handler checks a token available to unauthenticated visitors but performs no capability check, replacing the entire configuration with submitted settings and discarding omitted values. Exploitation requires access to the exposed handler and visitor token, not an authenticated account, and permits configuration modification rather than demonstrated code execution.
