Pre-auth open redirect via unvalidated Success parameter
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Open redirect in iDirect Evolution and Velocity WebServer Evolution 20260717 allows remote attackers to redirect users through a crafted URL. The pre-authentication /authorize handler decodes the success parameter and writes it directly into the HTTP Location header without restricting external URLs or CRLF characters. A victim must follow the attacker-supplied link; the result is redirection to an attacker-chosen site, and the public proof of concept also demonstrates response-header injection.
