Cross-realm client access via unscoped request cache
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Missing authorization in Red Hat build of Keycloak allows remote authenticated users to read or alter master-realm client configurations. The Admin REST API resolves client UUIDs from a per-request cache keyed only by UUID and fails to verify ownership by the realm in the request path. Exploitation requires the create-realm role in the master realm and a cached target UUID, enabling credential disclosure, client-configuration changes, or malicious login redirection.
