Local process termination via unrestricted driver IOCTL
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Denial of service in Hangzhou Shunwang Technology shzh 10.7.2.693 allows local users to terminate arbitrary processes via a crafted IOCTL. The shdrv_x64.sys device uses a null DACL, and sub_180004AC0 passes the IOCTL 0x22E018 PID to ZwOpenProcess and ZwTerminateProcess without caller validation. Any low-privileged local process that can open the device can terminate critical services, security software, or business applications; no data disclosure or modification is reported.
