Authenticated device compromise via VLAN port overflow
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Buffer overflow in Netcore NBR200V2 1.3.241127.071246 allows remote authenticated users to compromise the router via WAN VLAN settings. The wan_config_set_vlan function in /usr/bin/routerd copies the vlan_wanX.ports value into a destination buffer without verifying that it fits. Low-privilege authenticated network access is required; successful corruption exposes router data, configuration integrity, and service availability.
