Unauthenticated SSH access via unescaped LDAP filters
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
LDAP injection in sshd-ldap in Apache MINA SSHD 1.2.0 through 2.19.0 or 3.0.0-M1 through 3.0.0-M5 allows remote attackers to log in. The LDAP filter builder failed to escape metacharacters in supplied credentials, allowing username and password values of '*' to match directory entries and pass authentication. Exposure requires an SSH server configured to use the optional sshd-ldap component for password or public-key authentication; other MINA SSHD servers are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
