Unauthenticated SSH access via unchecked LDAP result
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Authentication bypass in Apache MINA SSHD 1.2.0 through 2.19.0 and 3.0.0-M1 through 3.0.0-M5 allows remote attackers SSH access. LdapPasswordAuthenticator.authenticate treats a nonempty LDAP attribute result as successful password authentication without independently checking that the supplied password was verified. Exposure requires an SSH server to use the optional sshd-ldap component and configure that authenticator; built-in sshd-core password authentication is unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
