Authenticated menu-table writes via raw SQL interpolation
Published Sep 20, 2026 · Updated Sep 20, 2026
SQL injection in Restaurant Management System allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary menu rows through admin/add_menu.php. At affected commit 7f0e7e84255e8fcfd488e83f8f91451bbbff6b9c, the handler interpolates item, price, image, and type POST values directly into an INSERT statement without escaping, validation, or parameterization. Any signed-in ordinary user or administrator can reach the handler; the public proof of concept demonstrates insertion of a second menu row.
