Unauthenticated credential disclosure via attacker-controlled backend URL
Published Sep 20, 2026 · Updated Sep 20, 2026
Server-side request forgery in NonceGeekDAO dim-sum-app allows remote attackers to disclose a privileged database key via a query parameter. The Deno backend's textSearchV2Handler passes the caller-controlled supabase_url to createClient, which sends the service-role key in request headers to that URL. The public text-search endpoint requires no authentication; possession of the disclosed key permits unrestricted reads and writes against the application's Supabase data.
