Stored script execution via unencoded profile name
Published Sep 20, 2026 · Updated Sep 20, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Drug Recommendation System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser. The profile handler stores the full name field, and index.php later renders it into HTML without context-aware output encoding. The CNA scores the attack as requiring no privileges, although the public proof of concept uses an authenticated profile update; execution requires a victim to load the affected dashboard.
