Authenticated command execution via unsanitized sub_dir
Published May 24, 2026 · Updated May 24, 2026
Command injection in Edimax BR-6675nD 1.12 allows remote authenticated users to execute system commands via crafted USB storage requests. The formUSBStorage handler at /goform/formUSBStorage incorporates the sub_dir POST value into a system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Low-privilege access to the router's web management interface is required; injected commands can read or alter data and interrupt router operation.
