Authenticated file write via archive output-option bypass
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Apache MINA SSHD sshd-git before 2.20.0 and 3.0.0-M1 through 3.0.0-M5 allows remote authenticated users to write server files via SSH. GitPgmCommandFactory filters separate archive output options but lets the combined -o=file.zip form reach JGit, which writes the archive on the server instead of returning it over SSH. Exploitation requires a server configured with GitPgmCommandFactory and an authenticated SSH account allowed to invoke its Git commands; file placement is bounded by the server process's filesystem permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <2.20.0
