Code execution via pre-trust post-checkout hook
Published Sep 19, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Remote code execution in Mistral Vibe before 2.25.5 allows remote attackers to run shell commands through a crafted Git repository. The worktree path invokes Git checkout, which runs the repository's post-checkout hook before Vibe initializes or evaluates workspace trust. Exploitation requires a user to run Vibe with --worktree in the attacker-supplied repository; commands inherit that user's privileges.
