Arbitrary file write via unsanitized archive entries
Published Sep 19, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Path traversal in Gopeed through 2.0.0-beta.3 allows remote attackers to write files outside extraction paths via crafted archives. extractSevenZipMultiPart joins each untrusted f.Name to destDir without validation, while extractFile validates directory names only after creating them. A user must download and extract a malicious archive, with AutoExtract enabling the write on download completion; writes are limited to paths writable by the Gopeed process.
