Cross-project metric disclosure via unescaped property keys
Published Sep 19, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
SQL injection in OpenPanel through commit bad75bdd allows remote authenticated users to read aggregate metrics from other projects. The getSelectPropertyKey() path in packages/db/src/services/chart.service.ts places a non-wildcard filter key inside single quotes without sqlstring.escape(), letting injected OR terms outrank the trailing project_id condition. An API user or read-client credential is required, and the demonstrated consequence is cross-project event counts and aggregate metrics without data modification or service interruption.
