Stored script execution via unencoded level value
Published Sep 20, 2026 · Updated Sep 20, 2026
Stored XSS in Code Projects Assessment Management 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted level value. admin/add-user.php applies SQL escaping rather than HTML encoding to level, stores it in users.level, and add-mark.php prints it into an input value attribute without output encoding. Administrative access is required to store the payload, and script execution occurs when a user opens the affected student's marking page, enabling session theft or phishing.
