CVE-2026-9396Public exploitNetwork attack vector

UI spoofing via unvalidated firmware version responses

Published May 24, 2026 · Updated May 24, 2026

UI spoofing in Besen BS20 EV Charging Station 20260426 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to display false firmware updates. The mobile app accepts modified firmware-version responses during update checks, renders an arbitrary newer version, and enables the upgrade button despite current firmware. Attackers must intercept and alter the response; the demonstrated consequence is a misleading update prompt, not firmware installation or charger control.
