Authenticated data disclosure via loose filter comparisons
Published Sep 20, 2026 · Updated Sep 20, 2026
Incorrect comparison in olivier-ls PHP-FTS 1.1.0 through 1.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to read out-of-scope indexed documents. SearchEngine::matchesSingleFilter uses loose equality and non-strict array membership, so boolean true matches any non-empty string field. An application must expose attacker-controlled filters and rely on them for ownership or tenant isolation; successful bypass discloses indexed records across that boundary.
