Credential disclosure via plaintext BLE and UDP
Published May 24, 2026 · Updated May 24, 2026
Credential exposure in BESEN's BS20 EV Charging Station 20260426 allows attackers to obtain passwords from BLE or UDP traffic. The BLE and UDP communication paths send old and new passwords in plaintext during password changes, while UDP repeatedly broadcasts the plaintext password. An attacker must share the charger's local network or be within BLE range; recovered credentials permit unauthorized charger access and control.
