Unauthenticated stored XSS via unsanitized data_object
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Stored XSS in Cryptocurrency Donation Box – Bitcoin & Crypto Donations 2.2.13 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts. The cdbbc_payment_verify AJAX action accepts data_object with insufficient sanitization and output escaping, allowing stored content to execute as scripts when viewed. Anonymous visitors can obtain the required nonce from wallets_data emitted by the donation shortcode; execution occurs in a visiting user's browser, not as server-side code.
