Unauthenticated course-material disclosure via mismatched lesson IDs
Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 3, 2026
LearnPress 4.4.8 and earlier exposes paid-course material files to remote attackers through an unauthenticated AJAX endpoint. CourseMaterialTemplate::render_material_items() authorizes an attacker-supplied course_id but fetches material using an independent item_id without confirming that the lesson belongs to that course. Access requires a course with No Required Enroll enabled and at least one material file; the result is disclosure of files from paid or enrollment-required lessons.
