Command execution via unsanitized diagnosis IP
Published May 24, 2026 · Updated May 24, 2026
OS command injection in TOTOLINK A8000RU 7.1cu.643_b20200521 allows remote attackers to execute commands through the ip parameter. The sub_423CC8 routine formats the untrusted ip value into v6 and passes it to CsteSystem, where execv executes the resulting command. The public proof of concept sends a SESSION_ID cookie, so execution without a valid session remains unverified despite the CNA's privileges-none rating.
