CVE-2026-93823Hinoki check available

Kernel memory exhaustion via user-sized metadata allocation

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

Resource exhaustion in affected Linux kernels allows local users in the render group to trigger kernel out-of-memory handling. The kfd_ioctl_get_dmabuf_info path passes the caller-controlled metadata_size directly to kzalloc instead of sizing the allocation from actual buffer-object metadata. Access to the AMD KFD render device is required, and a hostile allocation can exhaust kernel memory and interrupt the host.
