CVE-2026-93814Hinoki check available

System hang via target transfer not aborted

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

Linux kernel before 6.12.111 and 6.18.53 allows attackers to cause system hangs during suspend via an active SPI target transfer. In spi_controller_suspend(), an in-progress target transfer is not aborted before the controller is suspended, leaving hardware inconsistent and potentially preventing clean resume. Reaching the condition requires a target-mode SPI controller with an active transfer during system suspend; impact is service interruption through a hang or failed resume.
